How Eternex-F Tablet works

Eternex-F 10mg/160mg Tablet is a combination of two lipid-lowering medicines: Atorvastatin and fenofibrate. Atorvastatin prevents your body from making "bad" cholesterol (LDL), while fenofibrate works by lowering the levels of triglycerides in your blood. Both raise the levels of “good” cholesterol (HDL).

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Eternex-F 10mg/160mg Tablet.
Pregnancy
CAUTION
Eternex-F 10mg/160mg Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the foetus. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Eternex-F 10mg/160mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
SAFE
Eternex-F 10mg/160mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Eternex-F 10mg/160mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Eternex-F 10mg/160mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Eternex-F 10mg/160mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver

Monitor temperature of Patient. If Patient has fever place a cool, damp washcloth on your child's forehead. Give your Patient a lukewarm tub bath or a sponge bath. Give a sponge bath as follows: - ? Use lukewarm water [90?F (32.2?C) to 95?F (35?C)]. Do not use cold water, ice, or rubbing alcohol, which will lower the child's body temperature too quickly. ? Sponge for 20 to 30 minutes. ? Stop if the child starts to shiver. If your child doesn't like the sponge bath or doesn't feel better after the bath, there is no need to give another one. You can use paracetamol also along with above measures to control fever till you consult Dr. will determine underlying disorders by clinical examination which range from mild conditions to the most serious of bacterial and viral illnesses and will prescribe medicines accordingly. Advice given without doing clinical examination can be imperfect or some time harmful to patient.

Eternex-F contains Atorvastatin and Fenofibrate. A very rare (1 in 10000 patient) side effect of this medicine is liver damage. Use of this medicine should be avoided in patients with underlying liver disease. Contact your doctor immediately if you notice any early signs and symptoms of liver damage. These symptoms may include fever, rash, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, stomach pain, dark urine, yellow skin or eyes, or abnormal liver enzymes.

Q. Can Eternex-F cause muscle pain?

Yes, Eternex-F can cause muscle pain by injuring the muscles. Talk to your doctor as soon as possible if you experience muscle pain, weakness or muscle cramps. It can be a sign of any muscle injury caused due to Eternex-F.

Making lifestyle changes can boost your health while taking Eternex-F. Stop smoking, as smoking increases your risk of having a heart attack and stroke.
