How to use Ephrilime Syrup

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Ephrilime 7.5 mg/2 mg Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take it with food if stomach upset occurs.

How Ephrilime Syrup works

Ephrilime 7.5 mg/2 mg Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Chlorpheniramine Maleate and Codeine, which relieves dry cough. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic. It blocks the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) which may trigger cough due to allergy. Codeine is a cough suppressant. It suppresses cough by reducing the activity of cough center in the brain.

Pregnancy

Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Ephrilime 7.5 mg/2 mg Syrup is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Larger doses or prolonged use of Ephrilime 7.5 mg/2 mg Syrup may cause sleepiness and other effects in the baby
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
As Ephrilime 7.5 mg/2 mg Syrup may cause dizziness, blurred vision or the inability to think clearly.
Kidney
Ephrilime 7.5 mg/2 mg Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Ephrilime 7.5 mg/2 mg Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Ephrilime 7.5 mg/2 mg Syrup may cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
Ephrilime 7.5 mg/2 mg Syrup should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Ephrilime 7.5 mg/2 mg Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Mam, My wife is suffering in dry cough problem since 10 days and finally she has been admitted in the Hospital 3days before.She has been given antibiotics with Nebulizer and cough syrup.All medicines are coming under B category except the cough syrup (Levodroprozine syrup) which is coming under D category. She is having 6 weeks pregnancy.I am very much worrying that the medicines will harm my unborn baby or not.I have stopped the syrup but she already taken of 30 ml dose in last two days. Hi PATIENT medicines do cause problems in baby. However category B medicines can be taken in pregnancy with some caution. Just 2 doses should not cause much harm but I suggest you avoid all such medicines from now till atleast 11 weeks pregnancy during which time the baby's organs are being developed.
Always he suffer from coughing and looses his weight.Few days ago PATIENT phenergan drops.Now PATIENT from dry cough.

Hello, please start syp chericoff 2.5 ml twice daily for the next 5 days. Also nasoclear nasal drops SOS for nasal blockage. Give lukewarm water and fluids to drink.
