How to use Encet D Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Encet D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Encet D Tablet works

Encet D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cetirizine and Pseudoephedrine which relieve sneezing and runny nose due to allergies. Cetirizine is an antiallergic which blocks the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing temporary relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.

Alcohol
CAUTION
Encet D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy
Unknown. Human and animal studies are not available. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Encet D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
SAFE
Encet D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Encet D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Encet D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Encet D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver
Encet D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Encet D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
