Beclometasone is used to treat runny nose, swelling and itching of the nose due to allergy (allergic rhinitis), hay fever and ulcerative colitis. Beclometasone reduces inflammation, swelling and irritation in nose and helps to relieve itching, sneezing and blocked or runny nose. It is also used in asthma and ulcerative colitis.

How it works

Beclometasone belongs to a class of steroid medications called corticosteroids. Beclometasone works by preventing release of certain chemicals from the cells responsible for immune and allergic responses resulting in inflammation.

Econazole is used to treat skin infections caused by fungi around neck, chest, arms, or legs, and yeasts and mould infections such as thrush (Candida). It is also used to treat the infections in and around the genitalia (vagina or penis).

How it works

Econazole belongs to a group of medicines called imidazoles. It works by interfering with the formation of the fungal cell membrane and thus inhibits fungal growth thereby killing sensitive fungi.

Gentamicin is used to treat certain severe and serious bacterial infections.   • Do not stop taking beclometasone tablets even if you feel better follow your doctor’s advice when and how to stop.
  • Beclometasone should not be used continuously for longer than 3 months without consulting a doctor.
