Side Effects of Depran L are Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhoea, Confusion, Memory impairement, Uncoordinated body movements, Drowsiness, Tiredness, Delayed ejaculation, Anorgasmia (decreased orgasm), Low sexual desire.

How to use Depran L Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Depran L 0.25 mg/5 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Depran L Tablet works

Depran L 0.25 mg/5 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Clonazepam and escitalopram which have anxiety-lowering and mood-enhancing effects. Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine (BZD) which increases the action of GABA, a chemical messenger that suppresses the abnormal activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Escitalopram is selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) which increases the levels of serotonin, a chemical messenger that improves mood.

Q. Can the Depran l cause sleepiness or drowsiness?
Depran l may make you feel drowsy or you may fall asleep suddenly during your routine activities like watching television, talking, eating or riding in a car. You might not feel drowsy or have any other warning signs before you suddenly fall asleep. Do not drive a car, operate machinery, work at heights, or participate in potentially dangerous activities at the beginning of your treatment until you know how the medication affects you. Inform your doctor if you experience such symptoms.
Q. Are there any important warning related to Depran l?
Your behavior or mood may change in unexpected ways when you take Depran l. You may experience new or worsening depression, thoughts of harming or killing yourself, or planning or trying to do so. You may experience extreme worry, agitation, panic attacks, difficulty in falling asleep or staying asleep, aggressive behavior, irritability, acting without thinking, severe restlessness, and frenzied abnormal excitement. Be sure that your family or caregiver knows which symptoms may be serious so that they can call the doctor if you are unable to seek treatment on your own. Your healthcare provider will want to see you often while you are taking Depran l, especially at the beginning of your treatment. Be sure to visit your doctor as advised.
Q. Are there any medications to avoid while taking Depran l?
Depran l may increase the risk of serious or life-threatening breathing problems (respiratory depression) or coma if used along with certain medications. Tell your doctor if you are taking or plan to take certain opiate medications for cough or pain such as codeine, hydrocodone, codeine, fentanyl, hydromorphone, meperidine, methadone, morphine, oxycodone, and tramadol. Drinking alcohol or using street drugs during your treatment with Depran l may also increase the risk of these serious, life-threatening side effects. Call your doctor immediately or seek emergency medical care immediately if there is unusual dizziness, lightheadedness, extreme sleepiness, slowed or difficult breathing, or unresponsiveness. Be sure that your caregiver or family members know which symptoms may be serious so that they can call the doctor or emergency medical care if you are unable to seek treatment on your own.

No, do not take higher than the recommended dose of Depran l. This can lead to increased chances of serious life-threatening side effects and toxicity. If you are experiencing increased severity of your symptoms that is not relieved by the recommended doses, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation.
