How to use Coxinex Capsule

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. COXINEX 450MG/300MG CAPSULE is to be taken empty stomach.
Avoid COXINEX 450MG/300MG CAPSULE with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.

How Coxinex Capsule works

COXINEX 450MG/300MG CAPSULE is a combination of two antibiotics: Rifampicin and Isoniazid which treat tuberculosis (TB). Rifampicin works by inactivating a bacterial enzyme (RNA-polymerase) which is required by TB bacteria to make essential proteins and to reproduce. Isoniazid prevents these bacteria from forming their own protective covering. Together, they kill the bacteria and eradicate the infection.

COXINEX 450MG/300MG CAPSULE may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).
Pregnancy
