Uses

Clovir 5% ointment is used in the treatment of eye infections by herpes simplex virus.

How it works

Clovir 5% ointment belongs to the class of medications called as antivirals. It prevents the synthesis of viral DNA and thereby slows down the growth and spread of the virus.
