Avoid Clonaxpax p 0.5 mg/20 mg tablet with high-fat meals such as olive oil, nuts & seeds (Brazil nuts), dark chocolate, butter and meat.
UNSAFE
Clonaxpax p 0.5 mg/20 mg tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Taking Propranolol with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

Uses

Clonazepam is used in the treatment of short term anxiety, epilepsy and alcohol withdrawal.

How it works

Clonazepam induces sleep and controls seizures or fits by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

Do not drive, operate heavy machinery, or perform activities that require alertness. Report any confusion or inability to control muscle movements to your doctor Clonazepam may be habit forming. Keep the medication in a place where others/ children cannot get to it. Do not take alcohol while you are on this drug. Do not take clonazepam:
  • If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to clonazepam or any of the drugs ingredients and other benzodiazepine medicines (e.g. diazepam, flurazepam, temazepam).
  • If you have breathing problems or lung disease.
  • If your breathing stops when you are asleep (sleep apnea).
  • If you have severe liver problems.
  • If your muscles become weak and get tired easily (myasthenia gravis).
Do talk to your doctor or pharmacist: 
  • If you have any liver, kidney or lung problems.
  • If ever had depression or thoughts of harming or killing yourself.
  • If there is any recent death incidence of friend or family.
