Claz 500mg Tablet is used in the treatment of bacterial infections
It is used in infections of tonsils, sinus, ear, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues, windpipe and lungs (pneumonia).
Nausea, Vomiting, Abdominal pain, Diarrhoea, Allergy.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Claz 500mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take it with food if you are experiencing stomach upset.
Avoid Claz 500mg Tablet with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.
Claz 500mg Tablet is a macrolide antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins, which are required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

- Claz will cure your infection and improve symptoms.
It may cause an upset stomach. If this happens to you, take it with food.
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.

Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
There may be a possibility of diarrhea or rash in the baby.
Claz 500mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Claz 500mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Claz 500mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Claz 500mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Claz 500mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
If you miss a dose of Clarithromycin, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
