It is used in infections of tonsils, sinus, ear, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues, windpipe and lungs (pneumonia).

How to use Claribid Syrup

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Claribid 125mg Syrup at a fixed time.
Avoid Claribid 125mg Syrup with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.

How Claribid Syrup works

Claribid 125mg syrup is a macrolide antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins, which are required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

  • Never take an antibiotic for a viral infection like a cold or the flu.

Missed Dosageuses

Claribid does not cause drowsiness when taken as prescribed. But, it may cause insomnia (sleeplessness) and thrush (infection of mouth caused by candida fungus)
When taken with birth control pills, Claribid does not affect birth control.
