Uses of Cip Tablet

Cip 500 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is also used in infections of urinary tract, tonsils, sinus, nose, throat, female genital organ, skin and soft tissues and lungs (pneumonia).

How to use Cip Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cip 500 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Avoid Cip 500 mg Tablet with caffeine and chocolate as well as food containing caffeine and chocolate such as tea leaves, cocoa beans.

How Cip Tablet works

Cip 500 mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This prevents the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing them.

It is generally safe to consume alcohol with Cip 500 mg Tablet.
Pregnancy
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Cip 500 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Cip 500 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Baby should be closely monitored for development of fever, loss of appetite and diarrhea. In case, any of the above happens please inform your doctor immediately.
Driving
Cip 500 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Cip 500 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cip 500 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
Cip 500 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Cip 500 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Inform your doctor if you develop any signs of jaundice like yellowing of eyes and skin, itching, and clay colored stools while taking this medicine.

What if you miss a dose of Cip Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Cip 500 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Hello, thanks for sharing your problem continue same meds for 5 days in total and drink orsDrink ORS, put 1 sachet in 1 litre of water, then drink it over 4 hours or depending upon the intensity, the recommendation is after every episode of loose motion or vomiting, take 1 glass of ORS. Give rest to your bowels,don?t eat anything except ors untill u feel hunger pangs.Start with liquid diet like tea etc then move to light semi solid diet like khichdi in small quantity, if tolerable you can take your routine meal. Wash your hands frequently, particularly before handling food.
Can I take fixime 200 antibiotic for cold and dry cough.

u shouldn't take antibiotics without prescription, for simple cold n cough take syp corex-Dx 1 tsf tid, for cold DO STEAM INHALAION TWICE DAILY, WARM SALINE GARGLES, AVOID EXPOSURE TO COLD,TAKE REST tab levocet 1 tab bd for 5 days, take healthy diet to boost ur immunity comprising of proteins, vitamins particularly vit C, take plenty of fluids if not better in 3 days consult physician hope this helps, antibiotics are reserved only for bacterial infections , most cold like illnesses are viral so no need of antibiotics

Cip is not known to have any clinically meaningful interaction with paracetamol. However, interactions can occur. Talk to your doctor before using both the medicines together.
