Uses of Cifran Infusion

Cifran 200 mg Infusion is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is also used in infections of urinary tract, tonsils, sinus, nose, throat, female genital organ, skin and soft tissues and lungs (pneumonia).

How Cifran Infusion works

Cifran 200 mg Infusion is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This prevents the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing them.

It is generally safe to consume alcohol with Cifran 200 mg Infusion.
Pregnancy

Cifran 200 mg Infusion may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Cifran 200 mg Infusion is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Baby should be closely monitored for development of fever, loss of appetite and diarrhea. In case, any of the above happens please inform your doctor immediately.
Driving
Cifran 200 mg Infusion may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Cifran 200 mg Infusion should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cifran 200 mg Infusion may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
Cifran 200 mg Infusion is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Cifran 200 mg Infusion may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Inform your doctor if you develop any signs of jaundice like yellowing of eyes and skin, itching, and clay colored stools while taking this medicine.

What if you miss a dose of Cifran Infusion?

If you miss a dose of Cifran 200 mg Infusion, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

On 4th oct i visited to treat my ear pain due to water. Suggested cifran 500, hifenac-p & told bacterial infection. Done Dengue test on 6th oct, it was negative. Pain is not there bt fever 100-101 coming every 10-12 hours later. Till now antibiotic had n't taken please suggest medicines or antibiotic with dosages
