Glucose intolerance, Sleepiness, Ankle swelling, Headache, Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), Tiredness, Palpitations, Nausea, Increased blood uric acid, Decreased potassium level in blood, Altered blood lipids.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cetanil CT 10 mg/12.5 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Cetanil CT 10 mg/12.5 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cilnidipine and chlorthalidone which lower blood pressure effectively. Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker which relaxes blood vessels and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body by increasing the amount of urine produced. Over time it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.

Taking Chlorthalidone with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

Cetanil CT 10 mg/12.5 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
No information is available on the use of Cetanil CT 10 mg/12.5 mg Tablet during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Cetanil CT 10 mg/12.5 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Cetanil CT 10 mg/12.5 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cetanil CT 10 mg/12.5 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Cetanil CT 10 mg/12.5 mg Tablet is not recommended in these patients.
