Cefexpress A 200 mg/250 mg Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Cefixime and Azithromycin. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Azithromycin stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Q. What is Cefexpress a used for?
Cefexpress a is a fixed dose combination of two antibiotics and is used to treat patients with bacterial infections. Cefixime is used to treat infections of the ear, lung, throat and urinary tract. Azithromycin is useful in the treatment of ear infections, strep throat, pneumonia, traveler's diarrhea (loose stools and stomach cramps while traveling). Together they can be used to treat infections of an upper respiratory tract (typhoid and pneumonia), urinary tract and sexually transmitted diseases.

Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease (STD). A patient may get this disease after having oral, vaginal or anal sex. Many patients with gonorrhea do not have any symptoms.
