Doxapram(20 mg)

Uses

Caropram 20 mg injection is used in the treatment of postanesthesia respiratory depression (respiratory problems in the post-anesthesia care) and drug induced cns depression.

How it works

Caropram 20 mg injection belongs to the class of drugs known as analeptics. It works by stimulating the breathing centre in the brain, thereby increasing the rate of breathing.

Common side effects

Vomiting, Nausea, Chest pain, Confusion, Convulsion, Cough, Shortness of breath, Dizziness, Drug fever, Flushing, Hallucination, Headache, Altered heart rate, Increased saliva production, Inability to empty the urinary bladder, Increased blood pressure, Increased sweating, Muscle cramp, Muscle twitching, Urinary incontinence
