How Cafage Injection works

Cafage 1000 mg Injection is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive.

Alcohol
Interaction with alcohol is unknown. Please consult your doctor.
Pregnancy
SAFE
Cafage 1000 mg Injection is safe to use during pregnancy.
Adequate and well-controlled human studies have shown low or no risk.
Lactation
CAUTION
Cafage 1000 mg Injection should be used with caution during lactation. Breast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Driving
Cafage 1000 mg Injection may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
SAFE
Cafage 1000 mg Injection is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Cafage 1000 mg Injection is recommended.
However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Liver
Cafage 1000 mg Injection should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Cafage 1000 mg Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Dose adjustment of Cafage 1000 mg Injection is not recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.

What if you miss a dose of Cafage Injection?

If you miss a dose of Cafage 1000 mg Injection, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
