Biduret -L Tablet is a combination of two medicines used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It reduces excess fluid levels in your body and maintains the potassium balance in the body. This medicine makes you lose excess water through urine.

It is best to take Biduret -L Tablet in the morning along with food in order to avoid frequent urination at night time. For better results, it is suggested to take it at the same time every day.  The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you.

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and dehydration are very common side effect of this medicine. It might lower down the level of calcium, sodium, and magnesium in the blood. Hence, regular monitoring of kidney function and electrolytes is important while using this medicine. It might cause dizziness or tiredness if happens rise slowly from sitting position or avoid driving.

Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any liver or kidney disease. It is generally safe to use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. You should also let your healthcare team know all other medicines you are taking as they may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well. Biduret -L Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Driving
UNSAFE
Biduret -L Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
CAUTION
Biduret -L Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Biduret -L Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Biduret -L Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
Biduret -L Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Biduret -L Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

What if you forget to take Biduret Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Biduret -L Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Persistent high arterial blood pressure above 120/80 mm HG is termed as pre-hypertension or hypertension, but the point to be emphasized is that this rise in blood pressure is persistent. Transient increase in BP occurs in stress and anxiety and needs to be treated accordingly.

Yes, the use of Biduret -L Tablet can make you feel dizzy. This may occur when you suddenly rise up from lying or sitting position. To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
