How to use Betabest Tablet XL

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Betabest 25 mg Tablet XL may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Avoid Betabest 25 mg Tablet XL with high-fat meals such as olive oil, nuts & seeds (Brazil nuts), dark chocolate, butter and meat.

Betabest 25 mg Tablet XL is a long-acting beta blocker that works specifically on the heart. It works by slowing down the heart rate and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body.

  • Betabest 25 mg Tablet XL lowers your blood pressure and makes it easier for your heart to pump blood around your body.
  • Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes and heart attacks.
  • It may also be used to reduce the number and severity of angina attacks (chest pain caused by heart disease).
  • It may cause dizziness. If this happens to you, get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.
  • It can hide symptoms of low blood sugar if you're diabetic . Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly.
  • Side effects like headache, cold hands or feet, constipation or diarrhea can be experienced with its use. These are usually mild, short-lived and may not be with everyone.

Taking Metoprolol with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
