How to use Bandhan Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Bandhan 0.03mg/0.15mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Bandhan Tablet works

Bandhan 0.03mg/0.15mg Tablet is a combined oral contraceptive pill. It works by preventing the release of egg (ovulation) and affecting sperm movement in the womb to prevent its union with the egg. It also changes the lining of the womb and renders it unsuitable for pregnancy.

Pregnancy
CAUTION
Bandhan 0.03mg/0.15mg Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the foetus. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Bandhan 0.03mg/0.15mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Nonhormonal contraceptives is preferred in breastfeeding women, especially during the first 4 weeks postpartum
Driving
It is not known whether Bandhan 0.03mg/0.15mg Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Kidney

Yes, femilon is a good method for contraception. You should take 1 tab daily at a fixed time for 21 days. After a gap of 1 week you can start the next pack. Don't miss any dose. Rest you can discuss with your.

you can take an I pill within 72 hrs on ur act. but u ve to remember it is only 90% effective. no medication is 100% effective. and u can not take I pills more den once as it is high dose progesterone and repeated doses causes cycle disturbances and unpredictable ovulation and increases chancea of unwanted pregnancy so please shift to a permanant method of contraception.

Q. Are there any specific contraindications associated with the use of Bandhan?

The use of Bandhan is not recommended to patients with known allergy to any of its components or excipients. It is not advised to be used by patients with a history of high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes mellitus, migraine headache, liver disease or tumors, uterine bleeding, breast cancer, deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism (blood clot).

Q. Can Bandhan be taken by a patient who smokes?

Bandhan should not be taken by a person who smokes. Smoking increases the risk of serious side effects like death from heart attack, blood clots or stroke. The risk increases in patients who are obese or over 35 years of age and people who are heavy smokers. Inform your doctor if you smoke, before taking Bandhan.

Q. What if I miss my regular menstrual periods while taking Bandhan?

If you miss your menstrual periods while taking Bandhan, you may be pregnant. Some women may miss periods or have light periods while taking Bandhan even if they are not pregnant. Contact your doctor if you think you are pregnant or have missed one or two periods. This may happen in case you are not taking Bandhan at the same time every day.

Q. Which medicines should I avoid while taking Bandhan?

The use of Bandhan should be avoided with drugs or herbal products that induce certain enzymes (e.g. CYP3A4) in our body. These drugs may decrease the effectiveness of Bandhan or increase breakthrough bleeding (bleeding between menstrual periods). Inform your doctor about all the medicines you are taking when you are advised to take Bandhan.

Q. Can Bandhan cause bleeding or spotting between the regular menstrual periods?

Yes, Bandhan can cause some unexpected bleeding or spotting, especially during the first three months. Do not stop taking Bandhan because of this. This bleeding or spotting decreases with time. You may have unexpected bleeding if you do not take the pills regularly. Consult your doctor if the spotting continues for more than seven days or if the bleeding is heavy.

Q. What are the instructions for storage and disposal of Bandhan?

Keep this medicine in the container it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
