Baclofen is used to relieve the muscle spasms, tightness or cramps associated with diseases like cerebral palsy (problems in movements), meningitis (inflammation of protective membranes of brain and spinal cord), multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease (muscle weakness and wasting), cerebrovascular accidents, diseases of the spinal cord, other injuries or diseases which affect the brain and nervous system.
How it works
Baclofen belongs to a group of medicines called muscle relaxants. It works by acting on the central nervous system to reduce muscle spasms and tightness.

The drug can cause drowziness or dizziness. Avoid activities that require mental alertness until you know how the drug affects you:Do not drink alcohol while you are on this medication. Do not stop the drug suddenly without consulting your doctor as you may have severe withdrawal symptoms. Baclofen may increase the risk of developing ovarian cyst. Speak to your doctor about your risk.

- If you have stomach ulcer.
