How to use Atorva E Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Atorva E 10 mg/10 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Atorva E Tablet works

Atorva E 10 mg/10 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Atorvastatin and ezetimibe. Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medicine which prevents your body from making "bad" cholesterol (LDL) while raising "good" cholesterol (HDL) levels. Ezetimibe is a cholesterol absorption inhibitor which prevents absorption of cholesterol from the intestines. Together, they provide better reduction of cholesterol in your body.

Pregnancy

Atorva E 10 mg/10 mg Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.

Lactation
CAUTION
Atorva E 10 mg/10 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Atorva E 10 mg/10 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney

Atorva E 10 mg/10 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Atorva E 10 mg/10 mg Tablet is recommended.
Liver
CAUTION
Atorva E 10 mg/10 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Atorva E 10 mg/10 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
