Amlo-Dalcare 10 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of high blood pressure and chest pain (Angina).

How to use Amlo-Dalcare Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Amlo-Dalcare 10 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Amlo-Dalcare Tablet works

Amlo-Dalcare 10 mg Tablet is a calcium channel blocker. It works by relaxing blood vessels which makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.

Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Amlo-Dalcare 10 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Amlo-Dalcare 10 mg Tablet may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.
Kidney
SAFE
Amlo-Dalcare 10 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Amlo-Dalcare 10 mg Tablet is recommended.
Liver
CAUTION
Amlo-Dalcare 10 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Amlo-Dalcare 10 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Amlo-Dalcare 10 mg Tablet is started at a lower dose in patients with liver disease and further increased slowly with careful monitoring.

What if you miss a dose of Amlo-Dalcare Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Amlo-Dalcare 10 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

  • It can cause ankle or foot swelling. Raise your legs while you’re sitting down and talk to your doctor if it does not go away.
  • A sudden drop in your blood pressure may occur, especially when you first start taking Amlo-Dalcare 10 mg Tablet. To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
  • Take it at the same time every day to help you remember to take it.
