How to use Almotan Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Almotan 12.5mg Tablet at a fixed time.

How Almotan Tablet works

Migraine headaches are thought to result from the dilatation of blood vessels in the head. Almotan 12.5mg tablet works by constricting (narrowing) these blood vessels, thereby relieving the migraine headaches.

  • Lying down in a quiet and dark room for a while after you use Almotan may help to relieve the migraine.

  • Notify your doctor if your migraine headaches are occurring more often, than before you started using Almotan.
  • Notify your doctor if you have used Almotan for at least three consecutive months.
  • Avoid driving after taking as it may cause drowsiness and dizziness.
