It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Alight eye drops at a fixed time.
Interaction with alcohol is unknown. Please consult your doctor.
Alight eye drops may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Either animal studies have shown adverse effect on fetus and there are no human studies or studies in human and animals are not available. It should be given only if potential benefits justifies risk to the fetus. Please consult your doctor.

Sulfacetamide Topical(NA)


Alight eye drops is used to treat bacterial infections of the eyes and skin.

How it works

Sulfacetamide belongs to a class of medications called sulfonamide antibiotics. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of folic acid in the bacteria (which is essential for bacterial growth), which stops their growth and cures the infection.

Expert advice for ALIGHT

  • Do not apply sulfacetamide topical while you are wearing contact lenses. Wait for at least 15-20 minutes after using sulfacetamide to put in the contact lenses.
  • Ensure that you do not rub your eyes even if your vision is blurred after applying sulfacetamide.
  • Do not drive or use any machinery after applying sulfacetamide as it may cause blurred vision.
  • Tell your doctor if you are or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding. 
  • It should not take if patient is allergic to sulfacetamide or any of its ingredients.
  • It sholud not given to infants <2 months.
