Adfil 6mg Injection is used to prevent infections after chemotherapy. It is a growth factor that stimulates bone marrow to produce white blood cells. These cells protect the body against infections.

Adfil 6mg Injection is given as an injection by a qualified medical professional. You should continue to take as long as your doctor advises for it. The duration of treatment varies according to your need and response to treatment. Your doctor may get regular tests done to check the number of blood cells in your blood and your bone density level while you are taking Adfil 6mg Injection.

It may cause dizziness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you. Pain or redness at the site of injection is common. But, let your doctor know if you notice a lump, swelling, or bruising that does not go away. You should stop taking it and inform the doctor if you have fever, shortness of breath, fast rate of breathing or trouble breathing after taking Adfil 6mg Injection.

  • It is usually given as a daily injection into the tissue just under the skin or into the vein.

Pegfilgrastim belongs to a class of medications called colony stimulating factors. It helps reduce the chances of infections and side effects related to chemotherapy and does not directly treat cancer. Pegfilgrastim comes as a solution (liquid) to inject subcutaneously (under the skin), 24 hours after chemotherapy. It may be injected by a doctor/nurse in a hospital or you may be shown how to use injections at home
