Adenosine 3 mg Injection is an anti-arrhythmic medication. It regulates heart beat by blocking abnormal electrical signals in the heart.

Pregnancy
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Adenosine 3 mg Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Adenosine 3 mg Injection is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Not relevant, as Adenosine 3 mg Injection is intended for use in hospitalised patients.
Kidney

  • Inform your doctor if you have any of the following heart problems: heart attack/ failure, or heart transplant within the last year; unusual heart rhythm (atrial fibrillation or flutter), low blood volume/ narrowing of heart valves.
  • Consult your doctor if you have narrowing of the main arteries in your neck (carotid arteries).
  • Take precautions while taking adenosine if you have recurrent fits.
  • Caution must be exercised if you have had recurrent fits or experienced difficulty in breathing and problems associated with blood pressure, urination, defecation, etc.
  • You may need to monitor your condition (ECG and blood pressure) while taking adenosine.
  • Avoid food or drinks that have caffeine before taking this drug. 
  • Tell your doctor if you are or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.

Monitor temperature of Patient. If Patient has fever place a cool, damp washcloth on your child's forehead. Give your Patient a lukewarm tub bath or a sponge bath. Give a sponge bath as follows: - ? Use lukewarm water [90?F (32.2?C) to 95?F (35?C)]. Do not use cold water, ice, or rubbing alcohol, which will lower the child's body temperature too quickly. ? Sponge for 20 to 30 minutes. ? Stop if the child starts to shiver. If your child doesn't like the sponge bath or doesn't feel better after the bath, there is no need to give another one. You can use paracetamol also along with above measures to control fever till you consult Dr. will determine underlying disorders by clinical examination which range from mild conditions to the most serious of bacterial and viral illnesses and will prescribe medicines accordingly. Advice given without doing clinical examination can be imperfect or some time harmful to patient.
My heart beat had been 220 per minute i was refer to iccu nd admit for one day nd i was injected adenosine inj.nd now hb is 90.now says that is a operation of this illness.any current burn operation my med is calaptin 120 sr now what should me do plz.

Adenosine belongs to class of drugs called nucleosides. It acts by restoring the heart rhythm. It also relaxes blood vessels supplying the heart and increases blood flow, thereby relieving abnormal electrical activity due to compromised blood flow to heart

Adenosine causes vasodilatation which may result in headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, tachycardia and flushing. It also causes bronchoconstriction resulting in breathlessness and chest discomfort
