How to use Acibro Syrup

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. It is better to take Acibro Syrup with food.

Acibro syrup is a mucolytic and bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles of the airways and also thins and loosens mucus, making it easier to breathe.

  • It is better to take Acibro in the evening around 7-8 pm for protection against asthma symptoms throughout the night.
  • Acibro will not work for sudden wheezing or asthma attacks once they start. Always keep a fast-acting (rescue) inhaler with you.
  • Not as effective as steroid inhalers for asthma.
  • Do not discontinue use without consulting your doctor even if you feel better.

Missed Dosageuses

If you miss a dose of Acebrophylline, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
