Acebrofact LM Tablet is used in the prevention of asthma. It helps in relaxing the muscles of the air passages, thus widening them and making it easier to breathe. It also relieves allergic symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, itching, swelling and rashes.

Acebrofact LM Tablet is advisable to take at the same time each day. In case you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to doctor.

It may cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and headache as its side effects. it may cause some amount of dizziness, so do not drive or do anything that needs attention.

Acebrofact LM Tablet works by reducing and preventing swelling and inflammation in your lungs. It is used to prevent the symptoms of asthma such as tightness in your chest, wheezing, breathlessness and coughing. It also relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing and watery eyes. It may take a few weeks for this medicine to show full effects. This medicine will not stop an asthma attack that has already started. How Acebrofact LM Tablet works

Acebrofact LM Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Montelukast, Levocetirizine and Acebrophylline. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways and nose, and improves symptoms of allergies. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Acebrophylline is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.

What if you forget to take Acebrofact LM Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Acebrofact LM Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Quick tips

  • You have been prescribed Acebrofact LM Tablet for prevention of asthma.
  • Take it at the same time each day, preferably in the evening after food.
  • Do not take it with any fruit juices (such as apple, orange, or grapefruit) as they might make the drug less effective.
  • It does not work right away and should not be used to relieve sudden breathing problems. Use your rescue inhaler to control sudden difficulty in breathing. 
  • Your doctor may take regular blood test to monitor the level of drug in your body.
  • Avoid using antacids within 30 minutes of taking this medicine. It can make it harder for your body to absorb this medication.
  • Notify your doctor if you smoke or have an viral infection. Your dose may need to be adjusted.
  • Do not discontinue use without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better.

Dry scaling Psoriasis (10 years); asthma 3 years.; obesity I have been on folitrax 7.5 mg x 2 once a week for the last 8 years. I also take folvite 50 daily. The breathing difficulty is recent. I am on seroflo inhaler twice a day and tiate once a day. There is no change in the psoriasis but the asthma is getting worse.
