Uses of 4 Quin Eye Ointment

4 Quin 0.5% w/w Eye Ointment is used in the treatment of bacterial infections and tuberculosis.
It is also used in infections of urinary tract, tonsils, sinus, nose, throat, female genital organ, skin and soft tissues, windpipe and lungs (pneumonia).

How to use 4 Quin Eye Ointment

This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the tube close to the eye/ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the tube and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid or ear. Wipe off extra liquid.

How 4 Quin Eye Ointment works

4 quin 0.5% w/w eye ointment is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by inhibiting the DNA replication.

  • Always take the complete course of treatment, as advised by your doctor even if you feel better.
  • Never take an antibiotic for a viral infection like a cold or the flu.
  • Can lead to nausea and diarrhoea frequently. If this becomes severe or persistent or you notice that your stool contains blood or mucus you should stop taking 4 quin immediately and consult your doctor. You should not take medicines to stop or slow diarrhoea.
  • Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
