How Chloramphenicol + Prednisolone works
Chloramphenicol + Prednisolone is a combination of two medicines: Chloramphenicol and Prednisolone. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Prednisolone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause redness, swelling and itching after an allergy or infection.

- Avoid contact with your eyes, nose or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the drop in these areas.
- Stop using the medicine and inform your doctor if you notice ear irritation, burning sensation or allergic reaction.
