{"id":28492,"date":"2017-08-25T12:41:41","date_gmt":"2017-08-25T07:11:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.1mg.com\/articles\/?p=28492"},"modified":"2017-10-05T13:00:01","modified_gmt":"2017-10-05T07:30:01","slug":"young-mothers-may-higher-risk-consuming-alcohol","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.1mg.com\/articles\/young-mothers-may-higher-risk-consuming-alcohol\/","title":{"rendered":"Young Mothers May Be At A Higher Risk Of Consuming Alcohol"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-28493 size-full\" title=\"Young Mothers May Be At A Higher Risk Of Consuming Alcohol\" src=\"https:\/\/www.1mg.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/rsz_1shutterstock_395177092.jpg\" alt=\"Young Mothers May Be At A Higher Risk Of Consuming Alcohol\" width=\"630\" height=\"380\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Younger mothers show a greater inclination towards alcohol indulgence, a study suggests.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A recent research focused\u00a0on maternal alcohol consumption during the transition to motherhood as a predictor of risky drinking during a 17-year period.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 456 pregnant women, 13 to 42 years\u00a0old were interviewed about alcohol intake during pregnancy, at the time of delivery, and after 6, 10, 14, and 16 years of delivery.<\/p>\n<p>The results showed that about 66% of the women were at a lower risk of alcohol intake during the 17-year period, while the remaining were at a higher risk.\u00a0It was noteworthy that mothers who were younger in age at the time of first delivery were more likely to consume alcohol early in pregnancy.
