{"id":21846,"date":"2017-01-25T13:30:02","date_gmt":"2017-01-25T08:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.1mg.com\/articles\/?p=21846"},"modified":"2017-09-28T14:56:37","modified_gmt":"2017-09-28T09:26:37","slug":"electro-acupuncture-found-to-be-linked-with-constipation-relief","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.1mg.com\/articles\/electro-acupuncture-found-to-be-linked-with-constipation-relief\/","title":{"rendered":"Electro-Acupuncture Found To Be Linked With Constipation Relief"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.1mg.com\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-21850 size-full\" title=\"Electro-Acupuncture Found To Be Linked With Constipation Relief\" src=\"https:\/\/www.1mg.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/rsz_shutterstock_303687998.jpg\" alt=\"medicine online\" width=\"630\" height=\"340\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Modern Acupuncture found to help those suffering from chronic form of constipation, study suggests\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>-Recent studies suggest that electro-acupuncture, a technique that uses acupuncture needles and low intensity electric current, was found to significantly help those suffering from chronic severe functional constipation (CSFC).<\/p>\n<p>-CSFC is a condition where one has bowel movement at a frequency less than two times in a week, without any underlying condition or medication.<\/p>\n<p>-Electro-acupuncture uses the needles and low intensity current that stimulates precise points on the body.<\/p>\n<p>-In a study of about 1000 people with CSFC, the researchers randomised the patients to electro-acupuncture sessions and fake acupuncture sessions.<\/p>\n<p>-Post 28 sessions, of the total subjects in the study, <strong>31% experienced three or more bowels per week<\/strong>.
