The veins around the anus and the lower rectum gets swollen and bulge out to cause painful and bloody bowel movement and is often accompanied with anal itching<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who Is At An Increased Risk?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Though the actual cause is not known, piles are believed to be genetic in nature and may trigger during pregnancy also. Dietary Changes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>-Avoid foods that may further harden your stool such as processed foods and foods low on fiber.<\/p>\n<p>-Include food that are rich in fiber such as leafy vegetables, fruits, beans and whole grain breads and cereals.<\/p>\n<p>-Gradually add fiber to your diet as excess of it may cause gas and bloating.<\/p>\n<p>-Drink atleast 7-8 glasses of water throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p>-Include olive oil (anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties) in your daily food preparations. Exercise Regularly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>-Moderate (30 minute) workout each day has been found to benefit people suffering from constipation.
