Yoga for tired eyes: 5 poses to naturally reduce digital fatigue

Hours of scrolling or being attached to a screen can cause strain on your eyes and end up tired.

These simple yoga poses will help to relax the muscles around your eyes, help you focus, and relieve stress through natural means.

Rub your palms together until they are warm. Then cup their gently over your closed eyes. Palming will soothe the optic nerves and help relieve fatigue, but it will also increase blood flow to the eyes.

Sit comfortably & move your tongue at the top of your mouth. With your eyes open, look straight up, then to the right, down, & to the left, & then reverse. This eye rotation will release eye muscle stiffness and improve flexibility.

Look at the candle flame or the dot without blinking for 15–20 seconds. This ancient yoga technique will strengthen your eye muscles, improve your vision and calm your mind.

Trataka (Fixed Gazing)

Blink vigorously for 10 seconds. Then close your eyes gently for 20 seconds. Repeat. This yoga eye exercise will refresh the tear film over the eye, relieve dry eye and relieve digital strain.
