Why fatigue is common during Navratri fasting

Navratri is a time of devotion and fasting, but many feel drained or low on energy. Let's dive in to know why fatigue happens and what your body tells you.

Usual meals are often replaced with fasting meals, which are mostly rich in carbs but lack protein & fibre, resulting in a quick burst of energy followed by a quick drain.

Many people, while fasting, forget to drink enough. Insufficient fluid intake leads to dehydration and gradually makes you feel tired.

Fasting can lead to extra hormonal fluctuations in women who are on a fast during or pre-mentruation due to blood loss and reduced iron levels, causing extreme tiredness.
