Hair fall is a common problem. Nutrient shortages, genes, or health issues often cause it. You can slow down hair loss by using the right supplements, if you also eat well and take care of your health.

Get tested for levels of iron, vitamin D, zinc, and B vitamins (like B12 and folate). These are often low when hair fall worsens. If you are deficient, correcting that can help your hair.

Biotin helps with hair strength when someone has a true deficiency due to poor diet, surgery, or medical conditions.

Low vitamin D is linked with hair fall. If your blood test shows low levels, a doctor may recommend supplements. Do not self-dose very high amounts without medical supervision.

Low iron can cause hair to thin or fall, especially in women. Zinc helps the scalp and hair follicle health. If you're low, a supplement may help. But too much zinc can be harmful.

Be patient. Hair growth takes time (weeks to months). If you do the above steps consistently and hair fall continues heavily, see a doctor or dermatologist.
