Stress is like a constant load or a noise you just can't shut off. It is more common than you think, but what you can do about it is more important. Here are 5 stress relief techniques you should know.

Laughter may not heal all illnesses. But if you can chuckle through your worries, it can make you feel better. Laughing reduces your mental strain.

Tickle The Funny Bones

When you're feeling stressed, write down your worries on paper or in an email. Your mind feels lighter, and emotional stress is released when you write out your ideas, even if you don't send the letter.

A life with too many commitments is one of the main causes of stress.  Be selective and respectfully turn down requests that needlessly increase your workload.

Learn Saying No

Use a stress ball, textured stone, or soft cloth. Feel it, run your fingertips over it. You can break free from ruminative patterns and reconnect with your body by turning your attention to tactile sensations.

Use your five senses to help you focus on the here and now and stop your mind from running. Name five things you see, four things you feel, three things you hear, two things you smell, and one item you taste.
