Lying down after eating can worsen bloating and even acid reflux. Staying upright for at least 2–3 hours after eating can help your body digest better.

Take a slow walk for 10–15 minutes after meal. This will help stimulate your digestion process, which can reduce bloating. Avoid vigorous exercise, gentle movement will help your body move food through your body.

Drinking warm water or some herbal tea, such as ginger tea or peppermint tea will help reverse indigestion and reduce gas. Avoid fizzy drinks such as soda or caffeine, as these can irritate your stomach.

Skipping the next meal will not help you reverse your overeating. Eat a lighter, balanced next meal that contains fiber, protein, and healthy fats. This will help your body stabilize digestion and blood sugar.
