When feeling anxious, find a comfy spot to sit, try to relax your body, if you're wearing tight collared clothes, loosen them; this helps your brain feel at ease and can help you breathe better.

4-7-8 is a simple breathing method that can help you breathe better & calm your nervous system. Inhale with your nose for 4 seconds, hold it for 7, and then exhale with your mouth slowly for 8 seconds.

Put one hand on your chest and another on your stomach, inhale slowly & deeply to feel your stomach rise, then slowly exhale with pursed lips. This counteracts shallow chest breathing during anxiety.

During anxiety attacks, try to distract yourself. Think of five things you see, four you can touch, three you can hear, two you can smell, and one you can taste.  It calms anxiety and brings you back to the present.
