Use a gentle cleanser to wash dirt, oil, sweat, or makeup. Cleansing helps other products reach your skin instead of resting on top.

If you use toner or a hydrating mist, apply it when your skin is damp. It removes leftover residue and helps balance your skin’s pH. Use alcohol-free formulas if you have sensitive or dry skin.

Apply light-weight, active treatments next. Serums with ingredients like vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, or retinol go here. Do spot treatments (for acne etc.) after serums if needed.

If your routine includes a face oil, apply it after moisturizer (in most cases), so it locks in the hydration. Sunscreen Sunscreen is the final step in the morning. Nothing should go on top of it. Use broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30.
