When you get a cough, sniffles, and sore throat, there's a powerful tonic that not only soothes your throat but also enhances your immunity. The best part is that all the ingredients are already in your kitchen.

What You Need

To make this drink, you need ½-inch piece of fresh ginger root, ½-inch piece of fresh turmeric root, ¼ cup water, and 1 teaspoon raw honey.

Prepare the Roots

Once you have the ingredients, wash and peel them, then make a fine paste of the two. If you are using powder, then you can skip this step.

Prepare the base

Now, heat up some clean water, then use this water to dilute the paste you made earlier, and stir well. You can also add a dash of black pepper for better absorption of curcumin.

Make it Sweet

Once your drink is ready, add a tablespoon of honey. This will not only add sweetness but also give it an antioxidant boost.  Sip it warm in the morning or before bedtime.
