If you've ever smelled cinnamon powder, you'd sneeze. Through your nose, this potent spice enters your body right away. Inhaling ground cinnamon can cause sneezing, coughing, and breathing difficulty.

Cinnamon is a powerful herb that, if consumed in excess, can disrupt the mechanism and result in stomach ulcers and other digestive problems.

Cinnamon is naturally rich in a compound called coumarin. This compound can have harmful effects on your liver if taken in large amounts. This is particularly hazardous for individuals with pre-existing health conditions.
