Menthol, the active component in peppermint oil, is an excellent muscle relaxant and helps relieve pain. It also has a cooling effect, which naturally allows your blood flow to improve and migraine will be less severe.

Diluted peppermint oil can be applied to temples, forehead, and back of the neck. The points mentioned above are triggers for reducing migraines and tension.

Peppermint oil should never be used undiluted. Use 2-3 drops of peppermint oil with at least a tablespoon of carrier oil, such as coconut or almond oil before you apply to your skin.

Add several drops of peppermint oil to hot water or use a diffuser. Inhale deeply to relieve nausea and collapse migraine pain usually within a few minutes.
