Rain creates the perfect environment for snakes, mosquitoes, and insects to thrive resulting in snake bites, insect stings, and diseases.

Flooded burrows push snakes into homes, farms and streets. The snakes may be hiding in breezy areas, watery areas, or damp corners and gardens.

We have activity from poisonous snakes, such as cobras, kraits, and vipers. Snakebites require medical attention, do not attempt home remedies.

Rainwater can provide breeding ground for mosquitoes that cause dengue, malaria and chikungunya viruses. Even a bottle cap of water can call upon mosquitoes to breed.

Monsoon does increase the risk of being bitten by other insects. There are also spiders, wasps & ants, which can cause allergic reactions, poisonous bites or severe infections.

Reduce stagnant water, cut back bushes and reduce clutter to avoid hiding spots for snakes and insects.

Wear covered clothing and shoes. Be aware of insect bites & Bee stings, particularly in grassy areas or areas with water.

Natural products like neem oil, citronella, and eucalyptus oil can keep mosquitoes and some insects away.

Snakebite: Keep the victim stationary (this can help slow the blood take), apply a tie above the wound (not too tight), Get to Hospital asap. Mosquito/ Insect bite: Watch and Clean under running water, apply antiseptic.
