-Children (6–12 years): No screens after 9 PM -Teenagers & Adults: Devices shut off by 10 PM -All residents: Limit smartphone use to 2 hours every day

Too much smartphone use correlates to: -Bad sleep -Vision strain: Screens can tire, strain, and hurt your eyes! -Declining mental health: Negative effects stemming from isolation & virtual interactions -Less productivity: More distractions & time-wasting devices!

Screen time habits can support: -Better sleep cycle -Better posture -Lower stress -Decreased risk of digital addiction

Less time spent on phones can translate to: -More mindfulness -Better attention span -Less anxiety and depression -Better social interactions

Despite it being non-binding, the ordinance sends a clear message: limit screen time, improve health, and re-establish authentic connection. A little digital detox can go a long way.
