Straight water is the best option while fasting, as it hydrates and aids digestion while having no calories. Sparkling water with no sugar added is also permissible.

Black coffee without sugar is a low-calorie drink, and it generally does not break the fast. It also might help a person feel more awake and suppress appetite for some time.
