Vitamin B12, or cobalamin, is a water-soluble vitamin. It is important for nerve function, & the production of red blood cells. Vitamin B12 is found primarily in animal foods.

Animal products such as meat, eggs, dairy products, and fish contain a lot of Vitamin B12. Vegans tend to need fortified foods or daily B12 supplementation to meet their needs.

You may require more B12 if you: -Are over the age of 50 -Follow a vegan or vegetarian diet - Have anemia or gastrointestinal disorders -Take antidiabetic medications, especially metformin

Vitamin B12 is safe, even at high doses, so don't worry. However, excess intake (beyond 1000 mcg/day) of Vitamin B12, may have side effects like acne or medications interactions.

For optimal absorption, it is wise to take it in the morning or on an empty stomach. You can take it more than once a day, or once a week, as recommended by your health provider or Nutritionist

Adequate B12 contributes positively to memory, focus, and mood. Check your B12 levels. Supplement wisely with doctors guidance especially if at-risk of deficiency due to diet or medical conditions.
