Most headaches are caused by tension which can come from either stress or posture. Migraines can appear with symptoms of nausea or sensitivity to light.

Dehydration is often an unseen cause of headaches. Things get busy & we forget to drink water every day. If you've been sweating or not drinking water much, make sure to be adding electrolytes or an electrolyte drink.

Set your timer for 20 minutes - every 20 minutes, look away at something at least 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. This helps prevent eye strain & headaches related to digital overload.

Use the 20-20-20 Rule

Always go for a cold compress on your forehead for migraines. If you have a tension headache, be sure to place a warm compress on your neck or shoulders for a more comforting effect to release tight muscles.

Are you getting headaches due to tension or anxiety? Try deep breathing & neck stretches. Gentle yoga can relieve tension buildup in your body and help get blood circulating again.

Most common food triggers include: caffeine, chocolate, cheese, and alcohol. Start a headaches diary and look for patterns that would tell you what you could eliminate.

Avoid the Triggers

A severe, or ongoing headache with additional symptoms such as blurred vision, confusion, or neck stiffness can be a sign of something serious. Make sure to consult a healthcare professional. Hydration, rest, and lifestyle modifications can lead to natural relief instead of using drugs for headaches.
