Homemade sugarcane juice is freshly made, hygienically safe, and does not contain any extra or artificial sweeteners or contaminants that are found in roadside shops.

The ingredients required are fresh sugarcane stalks, water (optional), lemon juice, ginger, and a pinch of black salt for flavor.

First, wash the sugarcane thoroughly to remove any dirt that may be present on the surface before peeling off the outer hard skin using a sharp knife.

Next, cut the peeled sugarcane stalks into small pieces so that they are more manageable to blend/crush.

Add the sugarcane pieces into a strong blender with enough water to allow for good blending, then blend well until the juice has been extracted.

Using a muslin cloth or fine mesh strainer, separate out the juice from the pulp by pouring through either of these methods.

Add in lemon juice, grated fresh ginger root, and a pinch of black salt to add extra freshness and flavor to your homemade sugarcane juice.

To avoid any loss of nutrients due to oxidation, always use fresh, juicy sugarcane for making your sugarcane juice, and drink your sugarcane juice right after making.
