Drinking warm water can activate the digestive tract & enhances digestive enzymes that digest food properly. The better we digest food, the easier it is on our stomach & the less discomfort we will feel after eating.

Warm water helps soften stool (poo), allowing bowel movement to occur more easily. Plus, starting your day with a glass of warm water on an empty stomach can help keep regulated & even cleanse your gut.

Warm water will also help relax your abdominal muscles and allow gas that has been trapped in your system to pass. If you ever feel heavy or bloated after a meal, drinking warm water can help you feel better.

According to Ayurveda, drinking warm water is said to balance your Vata and Kapha doshas, stimulate the digestive fire (Agni) and remove toxins (Ama) from the body.

Cold water can slow digestion & make fats solidify, while warm water allows digestion to progress smoothly, without shocking the stomach.

-First thing in the morning. -30 minutes before eating or 30 minutes after eating. -When you are constipated or feel bloated. -Do your best to avoid drinking large amounts of water while eating as it will dilute the acids in your stomach.
